Description
Tirzepatide is a synthetic 39-residue peptide engineered to activate both the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor and the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor. A C20 fatty-diacid side chain promotes albumin binding and extends half-life. It is widely used in metabolic research on incretin signalling, insulin secretion and energy balance.
